There's a seat for you.
Apr 20, 2026
I've always felt different. Like I'm not quite like other people.
Whenever I have to do something new, I'm brought back to the same moment: sophomore year in high school, new girl, walking into the cafeteria with no idea where to sit.
You probably know that feeling.
The room is full and everyone seems to already belong somewhere. And you're standing there wondering if there's a place for you at all.
That day, I saw another new girl sitting by herself. I took a big breath and walked over to her. I sat down hoping it would be ok. It was.
I saw her last week on my trip to California. We're still friends.
One scary moment. Almost 50 years of friendship.
When I launched my VA business at 50, it felt exactly the same.
I didn't know if it would work for me. I had all the reasons it might not: I was older, starting over, not techy, didn't know anyone. I wasn't like the people I saw succeeding online. They seemed more confident. More connected. More something.
But I sat down anyway. I started anyway.
And here's what I learned: The women who succeed at this aren't the ones who feel ready. They're the ones who start before they feel ready.
My student Carrie never worked outside the home. Now she bills $8,000 a month from rural Iowa.
Tammy was unemployed and scared to spend money on herself. Now she has 13 clients at $50 an hour.
Torrie was 18 years out of the workforce. Now she charges $70 an hour and her daughter graduated college debt-free.
They all had the same voice in their head: What if this doesn't work for me?
They started anyway.
If you're standing at the door of the cafeteria right now, wondering if there's a seat for you, I want you to know: There is.
You have no idea what's on the other side of walking in.
I'm waving you over to the VA Business Launch Pad.
We're getting started this Thursday, April 23rd. Three free live sessions where I'll show you exactly how to start your VA business and get clients.
This is the table. Come sit down.
