You Don't Have to Listen

The VA Connection: You Don't Have to Listen

Yesterday I was working on a project outside with Greg and a voice popped into my head.

"You shouldn't be doing this. You should be doing something more responsible, more productive"

As if spending time with my husband on a project we're excited about is somehow wrong. Like fun and productive can't be the same thing.

I ignored the voice. But it got my attention because I know that voice shows up often. For me. For you. For all of us.

The voice that says you should be doing something else. Something harder. Something that looks more impressive. Something that someone else would approve of.

But here's what I've learned: that voice doesn't get to run my life.

It's my life. I get to choose what matters. I get to decide what's responsible. I get to pick my own priorities.

And so do you.

What if following your heart isn't irresponsible? What if the thing that brings you joy is also the thing that moves your life forward?

What if you could stop letting the voice in your head dictate what your life is supposed to look like and start building the one you actually want?

That's what "Live Your Best Life as a Virtual Assistant" means to me. Not some perfect Instagram version of success. Just the freedom to choose.

To work on the project that excites you. To spend your Monday outside if that's what matters. To build a life that fits you instead of one that fits someone else's idea of what you should be doing.

The voice will always have opinions.

But you don't have to listen.
