You Already Have What It Takes

Women thinking about becoming Virtual Assistants often worry they don't have the right skills.
They tell me they've been out of the workplace too long. They stress about not having corporate experience. They fret about not being techy enough. They wonder if they're too old to start something new.
I understand why they feel this way. They imagine becoming a VA means jumping through hoops like a job interview - proving themselves, competing against others, hoping to be chosen.
But that's not how this works.
Here's an example of what getting clients actually looks like:
Sarah needs help with a PowerPoint presentation. Her friend Ron mentions that you're a Virtual Assistant and might be able to help. Sarah reaches out. You have a conversation about what she needs. You do the work. She pays you.
That's it.
No interview panel. No competing against hundreds of applicants. No proving you're worthy.
Just one person who needs help, connected to another person who can provide it.
The skills you need? You probably already have most of them. If you can manage email, organize files, communicate clearly, and figure things out - you have a foundation to build on.
The rest you learn as you go.
I've been a Virtual Assistant for 15 years. I've billed over 20,000 hours. And I can tell you - the women who succeed aren't the ones with the fanciest resumes or the most technical skills. They're the ones who stop waiting to feel ready and just start.
Today, I'm kicking off a free training called the VA Business Launch Pad. If you want to learn more, I'd love to have you there: VABusinessLaunchPad.com
