The VA Connection: Life is Choice

Life is choice.

Before my family came to visit this weekend, I asked myself: How do I want to feel when it's over?

Satisfied. Connected. Peaceful. Rested.

Then I made choices that would get me there.

I picked six cups of blueberries and made a pie from scratch. I could have bought one. But the joy was in the doing.

I watched my two-year-old grandson pick strawberries off the plant and pop them in his mouth with a huge smile.

I talked to my friends at the farmers market. Jan and Sean who sell jam. Emily who sells bagels. Fred the blacksmith. These are my people. I chose to know them.

Sunday night I checked in with myself. Satisfied? Yes. Connected? Yes. Peaceful? Yes. Rested? Yes.

Not by accident. By choice.

It wasn't always like this. Before I started my VA business, I wasn't choosing life. Life was choosing me.

You choose your thoughts every day. You choose your activities. You choose how you spend your time and who you spend it with.

You have so much more personal power than you think.

Where are your choices taking you?
