The Virtual Assistant Connection: Why Referrals Are My Best Clients

Just because you are capable of a wide range of things, your clients may not know what they are unless you tell them!

Sometimes clients hire a Virtual Assistant for one skill but have no idea what other amazing services that VA has to offer. It’s up to you to let them know.

This way, clients will keep you in mind (and hire you) as their needs change and their business grows.

Here are a few ways to make your services better known:

  • Add a complete list of available services to your website (make it easy to find). I organize mine by topic.
  • Have examples of your work ready to share. One way to do this is to include a case studies page on your website. This is especially helpful because clients can see themselves in these stories.
  • As you work for clients, listen for ways you can help them that they might not yet have considered.
  • Add testimonials to your site so people can read about what you’ve done for others.
  • Get really good at describing what you do by writing it down and practicing it out loud.

If you’ve ever heard a clients say, “I had no idea you did that!,” you’re missing an opportunity for more work. Take steps to make sure they know what you offer and watch your work expand!
