While reflecting on 2023, I was struck by how much our community has changed and grown. It was an incredible year.

We launched a new website for The VA Connection.

The famous Done for You Website in a Box is now available to our entire community to purchase and use.

My story was published in Shine Your Light, becoming a #1 Amazon Best-Selling Book in five categories.

Our first annual live conference in San Antonio was a huge success, and we’ve begun planning our next event for October 2024. You can put yourself on the waitlist here.

Hundreds of new students enrolled in VA School, and our community grew by thousands of members.

As we look toward the new year, many of you are thinking about how to make 2024 fantastic. Here's the number one way to make that happen.

To knock the socks off of 2024, you must schedule time to work on your business several times a week, every week, and stick to your plan no matter what else is going on in your life.

You must put it on your calendar, close the door, turn off your phone, and silence notifications on your computer. Tell anyone sharing your work space not to interrupt you and focus on what’s most important in your business.

I’m not talking about cleaning off your desk, organizing your digital files, or learning a new application because you think it will attract clients. 

I’m talking about growing your email list, telling more people about your business, consistently publishing a newsletter, staying in touch with the people you know, regularly meeting new people, and being able to talk about your business in a clear, simple way so that people can remember and refer you.

I won’t kid you; blocking time to work on your business will be uncomfortable, and there is a tendency to make everything else in life more urgent or important to justify avoiding doing this. But that’s just because you’re afraid, which is normal. But just because it’s normal doesn’t mean you’ve got to surrender to it.

Think about the alternative to scheduling, protecting your time, and staring down your fear: it’s giving up on your dreams. Your dream to make the money you want, work from home, have time freedom, and do work that makes you happy.

I know you can do this. You’ve got what it takes and deserve to create a life that works for you.

Let’s get started now. Before today is over, open your calendar and create recurring blocks of time specifically for you to work on your business. I want you to protect that time like your life depends on it … because it does.
