No More Pep Talks. I'm Done.

For years, my email signature said "Chief Cheerleader."
I'm changing it.
Not because I don't care. I care deeply. But cheerleading isn't what you need from me.
Here's what a cheerleader does: She stands on the sidelines and says "You've got this!" and "You're amazing!" and "Keep going!"
She makes you feel good in the moment. And when you're struggling, when you're stuck, when you're not doing the thing you said you were going to do, she just keeps cheering.
That's not why I'm here.
I'm here to tell you the truth. I'm here to say: Send that newsletter. Raise your rates. Follow up with that contact. Stop hiding behind "I'm not ready" and start before you feel ready.
Your feelings are valid. I'm not going to tell you not to have them. But I'm also not going to let them make your decisions for you.
I know you're scared. I'm not going to pretend you won't be. What I'm going to do is tell you to take a breath, do it anyway, and then show you how.
That's what a coach does. A coach sees what you're capable of and refuses to let you settle for less. A coach tells you the truth because she knows what's on the other side.
I want you to win. That's why I'm not your cheerleader anymore.
I'm your coach.
